Easter 2010
Our celebrations of Easter began with our Maundy Thursday Devotional evening.

We listened to the testimonies of believers overseas who are persecuted for their faith in the risen Lord Jesus Christ. We then prayed for believers throughout the world where faith costs the most.

We concluded our evening together with a simple supper of soup, bread and cheese.

On Good Friday morning we met with other Christians from our Town and walked silently behind the Cross along our Town's High Street as a witness to our faith in the risen Lord Jesus Christ.

Our church concluded our Easter celebrations with a special service for Easter Day when we were pleased to have some visitors join with us.

Soul Survivor 09
The members of the After Hours Youth Group headed off to Soul Survivor in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, in August, under the watchful eye of their Youth Leader, Deborah DiMartino, and her husband, Massimo.

They had a wonderful time of fun, fellowship, worship and teaching.

Let the photos tell their own story. Thanks Emma and Geo for the great pics.

Check out Daniel's piece under his photo - God really met with him and the whole team.

Be sure to check out the Group's web-page.

Baptism of Members
We are so pleased that three of the members of our church were baptised on Saturday 18 October, 2008.

The baptisms took place in the back garden of our Worship Leader, Dave Barnes, and his wife Sonie, and were witnessed by family members, friends and our own church family.

Join with us in praying for Alison, her daughter Georgina, and Megan as they move forward in their walk with Jesus in the days ahead.

Enjoy the photos of that memorable day when Alison, Georgina and Megan made a very public profession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and their pledge to follow Him as true disciples in the days ahead.

The Persecuted Church
Our church has long supported the enormous needs of the Persecuted Church around the world through prayer and finance.

Our financial support is currently channelled via the valuable ministries of Open Doors, Christian Solidarity Worldwide and Barnabas Fund.

On 16 May, 2008, we met for a special Prayer Supper. Our dear friend, Tony Curtis, who works on behalf of the Persecuted Church with Advocacy for Persecuted Christians, met with us as we spent time in prayer and intercession for the needs of our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world.

We then shared food representing some of the many countries of the world where Christians are persecuted for their faith. The Picture Gallery records that memorable evening.

A big thank you to our Open Doors church rep, Glenys, for organising this evening and to the ladies of our church for all their hard work on the cooking front.

Everyone agreed that it was a very worthwhile evening.

Tony Curtis and his wife, Margaret, joined with us on Sunday, 26 April, 2009. We were reminded that when Christians are persecuted they spread the fragrance of Christ.

Our Picture Gallery includes some photos of Tony and Margaret's visit to us on 26 April.

Please pray regularly for our persecuted brothers and sisters and for Tony and Margaret Curtis who work tirelessly on their behalf.

Walter & Mary Burrell
Every spring we have been pleased to welcome back to our church our very dear friends, Walter & Mary Burrell, from the Seamen's Christian Friend Society.

During their annual visits they have shared with us something of their valuable outreach ministry amongst the sailors they meet from every corner of the globe in Cork, Republic of Ireland.

They really have been a great inspiration to us & have never missed the opportunity to encourage us to share our living faith with others.

Sadly in 2008 they were unable to join with us owing to Mary being very unwell.

We met together on the very evening set apart for their visit to pray for them both and the ongoing ministry in Cork.

Sadly Mary has now had to enter a Nursing Home in Cork owing to very poor health. Walter was due to visit us in April, 2009, but due to his own poor health was unable to make the visit to the UK.

We really have missed their annual visits to us.

This photo gallery features the photographs taken during their 2007 visit to us.

Please join with us in praying for this wonderful couple who have now entered a very difficult time in their lives.
